Car sighting while driving up to Canada

We just returned from a trip up to Toronto Canada to see friends and family. Vickie and Kira took a flight from Boston to Buffalo NY and the rest of the family drove up to pick them up and continue North up to Toronto. It is a fairly long drive ranging from 8 hours without hitting traffic to on the order of 10 hours with traffic and rest stops.

During all the driving these were some of the less common cars that we noticed:

BMW M5
I noticed a few of these in all different places. This is BMW's rocket with 4 doors that has a 5 liter V10 outputting 500 horsepower. Every single one that I saw was black...Pricing starts at just $83,000 and quickly reaches $100,000 when nicely equipped. This car can accelerate from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds...not bad for a big heavy sedan!

BMW M3
I was lucky enough to spot the new generation BMW M3 with a 4.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 outputting 414 horsepower. Not only was it the new generation that is just being rolled out in the US, but it was a convertible! I have seen this car a few times but this is the first time I have seen the convertible. I did also see a couple M3s of the same generation as my car also. Pricing for the newest generation M3's start at $54,000 but add some options and account for the dealer markups you'll find that the price will reach $70,000. This beast does 0 to 60 in 4.6 seconds. Surprisingly...my generation M3 does 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds.

Ferrari F430
These are less common the two BMW cars mentioned above. Ferrari is a more prestigious type of car and in for some models you cannot purchase one unless you are a repeat customer.

Costing about $200,000 this car is an updated version the F360, addressing some of the F360's weaknesses. The F430 has a 4.3 liter V8 with 483 horsepower and goes from 0 to 60 in just shy of 4.5 seconds.

Audi S5
This is a very recent addition to Audi's existing lineup of cars. It is a longer based coupe that compares in size to BMW's 6 series as well as Mercedes' CL class. This S5 contains a larger engine than the regular A5. Starting around $62,000 the 4.2 liter, V8 engine has a maximum horspower of 358. 0 to 60? 4.9 seconds.
