Cranky Kira is Teething

Kira has been cranky, clingy, and needy lately. By the end of a long day, I'm totally exhausted from dealing with her whining and crying.  I think the main reason for her bad mood is her itchy gums and teeth.  Last weekend she woke up angry from her nap, chewing her fingers.  Poor thing.  I gave her a frozen wash cloth and she sucked on it for a few minutes; it seemed to help a little.  She has four teeth on top and four teeth on bottom already established.  Now she has THREE more coming in!  I just discovered the little tooth buds this morning by sticking my finger in her mouth.

Here are some recent pictures of Kira:

Besides growing new teeth, Kira is doing many big-girl things.  She can walk a lot faster; she chases Logan all over the kitchen.  It drives him crazy.  She loves reading.  I read to her for at least 30 minutes everyday.  We joined a playgroup; she's still warming up to socializing, but we're getting there.  And, we're easing her into taking showers rather than baths.

Despite her advances, she's still using the bottle.  I think this is mostly my fault.  I can't wrap my head around her completely getting rid of her bottle.  Besides my own mental block, she is confused when I give her milk in the sippy cup.  She is accustomed to casually drinking water and juice from her sippy cup, so when we settle in for milk time, the sippy cup totally throws her off.  She gets annoyed and wants to walk away, leaving me desperate to feed her milk.  So, I give up and put the milk in a bottle.  The other thing holding me back is her feeding schedule; Kira has milk and meals alternating every two hours.  So, when she first wakes up, I give her milk.  Then two hours later, I give her breakfast.  Then two hours later, it's been four hours since her first bottle, I'll give her 6 oz of milk again.  Then two hours later, it's time for lunch.  Then two hours later I give her 6 oz of milk.  Then two hours later, it's snack time...and so-on.  Many parents feed their kids milk along with their meals.  I'm stuck finding a way to transition Kira to having milk with her meal.  I worry about her eating the same quantity as when the milk and meal are split.  What do you think?  Is this totally confusing?  I'm confused, too.
