1. Kira can count to 10 very reliably. She started counting a couple weeks ago, but would usually stop at 6. I would say 7, then she would say, 8 9 10. But now she goes from 1 to 10 without a pause. About a month ago she was saying numbers, but she was saying them randomly; like: 1 4 6 9. But her tone was right.
2. Being sick and taking care of a baby is the worst thing ever. I think I would rather clean college dorm bathrooms. Seriously. I would even do it while being sick at the same time.
3. I hate maternity clothes. Nothing looks like something I would actually choose to wear. I've looked everywhere: GAP, Old Navy, Target, Walmart. I could look into more boutique-y places, but there is really no point in buying fancy maternity clothes especially when simultaneously taking care of a toddler...a snotty toddler. When I was pregnant with Kira, my mom spoiled me ROTTEN with clothes from Bloomingdales. Some were maternity clothes, but most were normal clothes that allowed for a big belly. I went into that box and am disappointed to say that I don't think I will wear them. First of all, I was working in an office, so most of the outfits are too formal for housework. They are comfortable enough for sitting at a desk, but bending down to pick up Kira, wiping the table, putting dishes in the dishwasher...not comfortable enough for that! Besides, everything is gray or black. Yesterday I went to Forever21 and WetSeal to try and buy some tunics, but there were none! Well, there were some, but they were not right. Maternity clothes SUCK.
4. I want to do some things around the house before Thanksgiving. a) Replace the mirror above the fireplace. It's too small. I already bought a bigger one, but I just haven't put it up yet. b) Put the mirror that came with our bedroom set in the dining room to make the room look more finished. c) Clean out Logan's nightstand that we used in the condo. It will be perfect in the downstairs bathroom, which has no storage at all; perfect for stashing the cleaning supplies and stuff for the ladies. d) Ship my piano from my mom's house to our house. As part of rediscovering myself, I think I will get back into my music.
5. Kira has skipped out on Thursday class for the past two weeks. I'm feeling a little guilty about that. I think Kira's longest sentence so far is: "More chicken, please."
