Goodbye Celica

Out with the old...
Selling the Celica had been unintentionally pushed to a lower priority with the arrival of Kira. Once the dust finally settled I finally found some time to repost the Celica on Craigs List and received a couple serious inquiries.

I took ownership of the Celica during my last year at Boston University and loved every minute of driving and modifying the car over last seven years. It was a fun, sporty coupe that was as reliable as Toyota's come.

My favorite modifications to date have been the short shifter and the 35% tinted windows. Neither really enhanced performance but both provided different benefits. The tint kept the interior temperature down during the hot sunny summer months, limited visibility into the car, and provided a nice look to the exterior. The short shifter made shifting between gears shorter and faster.

Here is a more extensive list of modifications:
  • - Exterior
    • 17" Motegi summer wheels
    • S2000 Antenna
    • 35% Tint all around
  • - Interior
    • Interior blue floor lighting
    • 2 12" Subwoofers
    • B&M Short Shifter
  • - Performance
    • Tanabe Super Racing Medallion Exhaust
    • AEM Cold Air Intake
There came a time when I started fearing the maintenance costs of the aging car. With over ninety eight thousand miles, parts would inevitably need replacing. At times I had felt like I was outgrowing the young spirited car and the fact that a baby seat did not fit very well in the back indicated that it was time to start looking for another car. It was with mixed emotions that I replaced the Celica as an everyday driver.

The Celica was purchased on March 24th, 2008 by a recent College graduate and will live a long rejuvenated life with its new owner!
