Feeding Epiphany
No one ever really made completely clear how Kira would transition fully from formula/milk to solid food. Maybe I have simply been ignorant.
Kira has done very nicely moving to one nap per day and three bottles of milk per day, as described in a previous post. I'm happy with the 24 oz of milk she drinks by the time she goes to bed! Since I've cut down a bit on the milk she drinks, she's actually eating bigger meals! And, even when I give her 8 oz of milk, I find that she gets hungry sooner. It used to be that 6-8 oz of milk (or formula back in the day), would keep her sated for at least two hours. But now she will get hungry even only 1 hour after her milk. So, it's all starting to make sense. As she drinks less milk, she eats more solids per sitting. This way, I don't need to constantly be feeding her every two hours!
Eureka.
