Renee's First Birthday Planning

I was really disappointed with the new Pottery Barn catalog. I had high hopes that there would be lots of Easter-themed rooms and that I could use them as inspiration for Renee's first birthday party. I wouldn't go so far as to pull out the bunnies and eggs, but I would take some neutral springtime images and translate them into party decorations. Sadly the Pottery Barn catalog only had 19 pages of Easter, and they were all meh. It's too bad. They usually have an amazing spread.

So, I went to the Martha Stewart website for some inspiration instead. I'll bet not all of these images are new, but they are inspiring nonetheless.

I haven't posted in a long while because all of the Kira stories I have lately involve pee, poo, or puke. I didn't think it would be very nice to tell those stories. On Sunday, we had visitors for brunch. Trevor made crepes! They were so good. My friend, (who is also a mom), asked me what new thing Kira is doing lately. I didn't know what to say right away. I had to think about it for a few seconds. I'm glad she asked me this question. If I never stopped to think about it, I wouldn't realize that Kira does something new every few days! Just this weekend, Kira leared to suck her fingers. It's so funny when she does it!
