For a couple weeks now, Kira has been putting her shoes on by herself! It's very cool from a parents' perspective because I don't need to sit her down and keep her still. The only downside is that she ends up touching the bottom of her shoes and I need to remember to sanitize her hands if she is going to play with toys or eat something. But sometimes, we just put on shoes to go outside and play, and in those cases, I don't need to worry about sanitizing.
Renee laughs and squeals at almost anything. This morning, she was laughing and squealing at the spoon sitting in Trevor's coffee cup. On Friday at Panera, she was laughing at a group of people sitting at the next table. Almost every time you make eye contact with her, she was laugh and squeal. Kira never laughed at so many things, but Kira had fits of laughter that would last up to 10 minutes. Renee doesn't laugh like that.
Renee has also been experimenting with her voice. She has learned how to scream and every now and then she'll let out a high-pitched scream. She especially likes to yell out to her toys hanging above her when I put her on the play mat, or in the swing, or in her bassinet (which has two cute bears hanging from the canopy.
And finally, Logan has been very good about relinquishing random things that he captures into his mouth, such as, Kira's toys, paper, weeds, socks, etc, etc, etc. As a puppy, he was so easily excitable and difficult to calm and become attentive that it was close to impossible to get him to let go of things! But the message is finally starting to sink in for him!...gosh, it only took about 3 years. He's still a puppy though.
