Nice Weekend
We had a really great weekend, and I want to document it so that we can remember it and try to have more weekends like it.

Friday was quiet, which was nice. I needed some ingredients for dinner, and thus was not able to start cooking until Trevor came home from work and the grocery store. But once Trevor arrived, it only took me 20 minutes to get dinner on the table. My Mommy made us a container full of wonton filling. I didn't have any wonton skins, so I stuffed the filling into sliced peppers. It was so yummy, was ready in a jiffy, and required only one pan! So not only was dinner prep easy, clean up was easy, too!
Saturday, we slept in. By 12:30, we were out the door to go pick up Logan (he was at my in-laws house), and then go to Wrentham Premium Outlets. We stayed there until about 4. It was great to walk around with both Logan and Kira. We hardly ever do anything as a WHOLE family, so when the opportunity arises, we take full advantage. Trevor was the one who needed shopping done, so when he went into the stores, Kira, Logan and I would hang out on a bench outside the store. It was a beautiful day, so none of us minded hanging out and watching people walk by.
After shopping, we went to a friends house for a BBQ. We had never been to our friend's house before and it was nice to see her place. She did an amazing job painting the interior of her home!! Despite having many different colors from room to room, the interior wasn't overwhelming or mismatched, which is quite extraordinary because the layout of her house is open, making rooms visible from others. All the colors went so well together. She had cream, brick red, and celery green. She even painted some exposed brick in the kitchen and living room. She painted most of the bricks cream and a few of them red and orange. The pattern she created was interesting, and it looked so professional! She has inspired me to get my act together and finish painting my kitchen and foyer. But I'm not going to do anything fancy. I'm just going to paint it one color!
Besides admiring our friend's beautiful home, we really very enjoyed the BBQ in the back yard. She has a BEAUTIFUL back yard. It's completely fenced in allowing the doggies to run around without us having to worry. She has a dog and a few of her guests brought their dogs too. Logan had a great time running. And, I was so happy with Logan that day because he wasn't overly excited. He's growing up to be such a good dog! We left at 6:30 and went home for dinner. We didn't eat much at the BBQ because we felt guilty about arriving late and not bringing anything to share. Despite that, we wanted to stop by and say hi out of respect for getting the invitation.
After dinner, Kira and Logan fell into a deep sleep at around 8:30. This was pretty remarkable because they usually don't get tired until about 11. It made for a very relaxing night for me and Trevor. We went about our business without interruption! However, because Kira fell asleep so early, she woke up at 3:30 for a feeding. But she fell right back to sleep after eating.

On Sunday, we had Trevor's family over for dinner; it was nice to have people come over to our house. Brandon and Yvonne played with Kira. Trevor's mom brought yummy dessert. We had tea and talked. It was lovely. I wish all weekends could be like that!
